Britain’s leading freestyle motocross riders converge on Trax in Preston’s docklands for an all-out FMX fest!

Bikes, bands, beer, babes and barm cakes – Air Warriors has ‘em all and a massive crowd of over 5,000 FMX fans come out to witness the lot at Preston’s first ever freestyle contest. Organised by Croston’s John Pearson the laid-back northern style comp is a hit with the spectators who get great value for money and the riders who put on one hell of a show.

The competition is won by Devon’s Jamie Squibb who edges out Dan Whitby and Chris Brock to Air Warriors gold while the super-stylish Samson Eaton and Danny Veale battle it out for fourth place.

With all the competitive stuff sorted the riders put on an awesome free ride exhibition while the band (Hyperjax – who break a bass guitar en-route) try to sort their ***t out. The highlight of the night for many is when JP himself pops off a backflip or five just as the show’s winding down.

“It’s been a pretty good night all in all,” reckons John. “The crowd got into it and the riders gave 100 per cent. I’ve got to say a big thank you to everyone who came out and all the event sponsors – Monster Energy, Freestyle Xtreme, Madison and THOR clothing, Michelin and Putoline. See you all next year!”
