There's no denying that Gareth Edmunds is one of the sport's leading spanner spinners as he's the man responsible for prepping Tommy Searle's race bikes week in, week out. But despite being smart with a socket set the young Welshman can get a bit loose with the old pitboard and pen as he proved in Uddevalla by writing ‘CLEAN HIM OUT' on Tommy's board before holding it out for the 19-year-old - and unfortunately everyone watching the races live on Motors TV - to see.
As well as Cairoli and the De Carli Yamaha squad not being best pleased with the written message meant for Tommy's eyes only, the FIM motocross president Wolfgang Srb stated "you can take it for granted that the FIM will be investigating the affair". Expect a slap on the wrists soon, young Gareth!
