The fourth round of the FIM Motocross World Championship will take place at one of the best circuits on the calendar this weekend as the visit to Sevlievo not only kicks the series back into life after a two week break but also initiates the first meeting of five in the first ever Women’s World Championship. Van Beers Yamaha’s Katherine Prumm, a double Women’s World Cup winner, is struggling for full fitness after rupturing her right ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) while practicing this week.

Round 4 – Lyng – Sunday 4th May. Reigning number one Billy Mackenzie’s relentless assault on the 2008 Maxxis ACU British Championship showed no signs of easing after the CAS Honda rider guided his blackened factory-backed machine to another comprehensive double moto victory at round four of eight. A quick course and warm temperatures greeted the racers at the Lyng circuit in Norfolk where the MX2 class was also swept by former multi-champion Stephen Sword in front of one of the biggest crowds the venue has seen.

Winner of day one in the USA grand prix, Takahisa Fujinami – Repsol Montesa HRC finished in second position with Adam Raga – Gas Gas taking third.

The splendid stage for round three of fifteen, south of the city of Porto, witnessed the Yamaha Monster Motocross Team score a double podium result with David Philippaerts finishing second and Josh Coppins third on the works YZ450FMs.

Reigning World outdoor and indoor champion and Fujinami’s team-mate, Toni Bou – Repsol Montesa HRC finished second with Albert Cabestany - Sherco taking the remaining podium position.
