Dougie Lampkin was once again the star of the show, as Goodwood release their latest promotional video to promote this year's Festival of Speed that will take place on the famous estate during 2nd, 3rd and 4th of July . The nearly six minute long movie was premiered in front of a select audience at private dinner hosted at Goodwood House last night, before being shown to members of the press at the media launch of the 2010 event earlier today.

With the first glimpses of spring in the air the motocross season is most definitely under way. The sport did, however, head perilously close to scoring an own goal with two of its biggest series scheduling their opening events on the same weekend. It's a positive sign of rude health, though, when the country can support events of the sizes of the Red Bull Pro Nationals and the Wulfsport British Masters series alongside the main British championship.

After an overnight stay in hospital last Sunday night following his first race crash at the Hawkstone Park International, factory Red Bull KTM rider Shaun Simpson was discharged on Monday morning with bruising to his face and hip plus a deep cut to his ring finger on his left hand.

The factory Teka Suzuki team dominated Sunday’s Hawkstone Park International MX with 15-year-old Ken Roczen claiming a double win in the MX2 division while his 30-year-old team-mate Steve Ramon did the business in MX1.

Stephen Sword might have come storming out of the gate quickest to win the first MX1 Superpole of the 2010 Maxxis British MX championship but it was reigning champion Brad Anderson who did the business come race time. Conditions leading up to the day were far from ideal but the circuit looked brilliant once racing got under way at Little Silver - a little heavy maybe but still pretty good considering the soaking it received before the event.
