Gas Gas. "As a leading trials importer, having a UK round of the World Trials Championship is essential. With the current world champion Adam Raga riding Gas Gas it's also a good opportunity for us to capitalize on this and hopefully we can have a Gas Gas winner. However, I am British and very proud of that and my heart would love to see Doug win - I just wish he was on a Gasser!

"The WTC is the pinnacle of our sport and it is the only time most of us get to see the factory riders and bikes in action. Okay, we have the Sheffield Indoor Trial but in my opinion the world championship status should be taken away from indoors to give it more entertainment factor.
"As for the British GP, with L+M Events organising the trial there can be no better team to host this event. The Hawkstone venue is also possibly the best place for the event as the paddock and trade areas are well located because of their use at MX meetings and because there is plenty of parking space for the public.
"The section location is also superb for spectators and they can get very close to the action indeed. Martin and Harry Lampkin know the score when setting out the sections and it will prove to be a very tough and hard event. None of the top riders enjoy easy trials as it makes for a far too nervous event.
"Hawkstone is actually a place not loved by most of the riders. The power-sapping sand makes it feel like you're on a 125! You can also lose the front very easily in the sand so to be on line is very important.
"We also have a good amount of British talent at the moment with Dougie, Dabill, Browny and our team rider Shaun Morris in the championship class and a whole host of Junior riders including Team Gas Gas UK riders Alexz 'Reg' Wigg, Ross Danby, Sam Haslam and Robert Andrews. Lee Sampson should also rise to the occasion on home soil - I find it simply amazing what Wiggy and co can do on 125s nowadays.
"Saturday will be awesome and I'm looking forward to seeing the 'old' masters trial where you can see yesterday's stars battle it out. And the two-hour practice session is always a battle of who can outdo who. Steve 'Showtime' Colley will be doing his usual superb shows on the Saturday.
"The trade area will be popular this year and we will have our usual Gas Gas retail stand with clothing, boots and accessories from our popular www.gasgasshop.com website. We will have some crazy bargains so come and see us in the trade area. And we are also using this event to launch our new '07 bikes which should cause some interest!
"See ya there and enjoy!"
