Hello there ! In August 2008 I am riding a Kawasaki KLR650 motorcycle from Prudhoe Bay, on the Arctic coast of Alaska, down through north America, Mexico, central America and South America.

Finally ending up in Ushuaia, Tierra Del Fuego, the most southerly town on Earth, five to six months after leaving Prudhoe Bay. This trip is to raise money and awareness for the Fragile X Syndrome charity, which is close to my heart, as my niece has Fragile X.

Fragile is a genetic mental disability syndrome. I have created a web blog, which will cover all my preparation, wonder, planning and participation, also i have a link from the blog to my just giving page, where people can sponsor me http://www.justgiving.com/fxpedition, securely, knowing their donation is going straight to the charity. I am working seven days a week to fund this venture, so no money raised will fund me whatsoever.

This trip will take me through the uninhabited bear infested Brooks Range of Alaska, unaffected ancient villages, jungle trails swarming with bandits, the driest desert on earth, the deepest canyon on earth, altitudes that an Englishman should not be riding a motorcycle at . All the way to stand and stare across the infamous Magellan straits where many an English Pirate came to an untimely frozen fate ! An incredible journey for a worthy cause.

You can follow all my happenings, sponsor me and  get a deeper understanding of Fragile X Syndrome here : http://fragilexpedition.blogspot.com/

And so it begins...
