The latest round of the ACU Maxxis British Motocross Championship, which took place at Hawkstone Park on June 14th, will be transmitted on Sky Sports 2 at 19:00 this Wednesday, 1st July.
Several repeat showings are also due to take place this week, including 07:00 and 13.30 on Thursday 2nd July on the same channel.
Each show is an hour long and apart from a brief summary of the previous rounds action, it features a candid interview with Utag Yamaha boss, Steve Dixon.
The programme then settles down to the main action and right from the outset the young guns of the MX2 class do battle. Don’t miss the hard riding between Scott Elderfield and Mattis Karro in the first race and the coming together which put Latvian Karro, out of the race and effectively ruined any chance he had of the coveted British title.
Once again the show is presented by Emma Still, who interviews overall winner and current red plate holder Stephen Sword at the end of the day. Sword divulges his delight at standing on top of the podium, when a top three placing was his target after suffering with a virus all week.
The MX1 action is also hot with battles between Brad Anderson and Billy MacKenzie, whilst James Noble is caught on the wooded part of the circuit throwing his Suzuki away possibly for the last time before his recent switch to Honda machinery. However, he remounted and staged a magnificent comeback through the field.
The next round of the championship will take place at Lyng in Norfolk on Sunday July 12th.
